My last blog.

This entry is the last one that I write in my blog.
Oh my God, two years working on it and, what's more, trying to improve it... and now it has to finish. I think that all of us, after so many experiences, are very fond of our blogs.

Right now we are almost finished and there is only a month which separates us of Selectivitat's exams. Once we will have done this examination, we will start a NEW LIFE: a new life where we could study our favourite degree, our favourite subjects, we could be specialized in it, we could be freer, where we could reveal our likings..

Well, for the moment, I have been studying a lot to get a good mark to enter in my favourite degree which I decided to do since I was 14 years old, Journalism, and I have been accepted in a hall of residence in Barcelona, as this degree is only promoted in this city.

I hope get what I want to do, as to you all, but we know that to get it, we must study a lot for Selectivitat!

For the last entry I decided to talk about it as a goodbye and I considered funny the idea to read it a year from now and see... ¿What has happened? :)
Share my blogs with all of you has been an honour. Thanks for all*

Supportive Stories

Now I've just arrived from street where suddenly a person came to me and said to me: Hi. Do you want this book? It's full of supportive stories by some journalists and Messi, a Barça's football player, for Frailty X' Syndrome. And I said: Yes, of course! I buy it now!.

A lot of people think that when we do a step to help a little bit the sufferers of some syndromes, as it, or what's more, to help, in general, the Association, in this case the Catalan Association of Frailty X' Syndrome, we decide to do it because they upset us. I don't think that it's in this way, we do it to help them, and not only for pity or to feel better with ourselves.

All of us can give the mininum of help to do a step in all of aspects of our society.

Well, the book is called "39 Supportive Stories around the sports. Leo Messi's preface". It is about 39 different stories, as its title say, about football.
This time the book has been promoted by Leo Messi, but it was written by different journalists like David Llorens, Ferran Correas, Luis Martín, Xavi Díaz, Carles Domènech, Sergi Mas, Albert Masnou, etc.
These 39 stories are an act of charity aimed at Catalan Association of Frailty X'Syndrome.

In addition to these supportive stories, there are more books of different years. For example, apart from this book by Leo Messi and another by Xavi Hernández (another Barça's football player) which have been written this year, in 2007 Frank Rijkaard wrote a book as an act of charity for Children of Raval of Barcelona, in 2006 a book called "36 supportive stories around the sports" and written by a lot of journalists was published in honour of Department of Oncology of Vall d'Hebron Hospital, and lastly, in 2005 was published the first book of these all. It was called "Stories of football. 37 supportive stories around a ball". It was an act of charity for Foundation against the Gnome.

I consider these books very useful for this Foundations and Associations which help sick people.
Every year these books success, because, as a result, for example, of this year, there are 200.000 euros earned! It's incredible.
Leo Messi feels very happy, because he passed a difficult childhood and he accepted to help, offering this book, the children who suffer problems of learning since their birth.

With a slight effort we can give a hand which could be very valued by sufferers and Associations.
Don't be selfish, and help a little bit your partnerns!:)

Unfaithful - Series

Fair, love, hate, worries, lies, confessions, mistakes, passion, friendship, family... and infidelity. These conceptions are which explain this series. As its name shows, it is about the infidelity. But not only about being unfaithful to someone, but being unfaithful to oneself. And it is the climax of this series.

It has started to be showed a month ago, so we can know more things about it yet. It's very curious, because with only A MONTH this series has gripped me!
I don't think that it is a feminist series, as most of people say. I think that everything gets complicated and every week it's more interesting.

It is showed every Thursday.

The main characters are 5 friends (Lídia, Paula, Cruz, Joana and Arlet), and each one has an evolution in her life in different ways:

Lídia is a psychiatrist who has suffered her husband's dead, and her life has a change when she meets a young man in which she falls in love at the end. It is a strange relation, because they are not engaged, and it seemed to get worse, but finally the man decided to have a visit with Lídia, but, this time, as his psychiatrist.
On another hand, there is Paula, who was married Marc, but she decided to break up with him once she knew that she has a cancer. But, what is the second problem? She had a lover.
Cruz is an economist, and she wants to have a daughter with her boyfriend. She lives with him, but it is also a difficult relationship, although she has seen her boy with another girl, he has said it to her, and even so they decided to continue this relationship. But... At the end... Cruz is also unfaithul.
Joana... I think it is a complicated case, because she was married Francesc who works in Buenos Aires, and after some years she noticed that he is unfaithful with an Argentinian woman. Where is here the second problem? They have children.
Finally, there is Arlet, the youngest character, who has a quite life with a small floor, with a humble boyfriend, with a permanent work, so she is a teacher, but she meets a friend (a girl) about who Arlet feels, in secret, some other feelings than friendship.

I don't like when people say that this series is the "Sex in the city (or in NY)" of Catalunya. Because I'm a fan of this American series, I have seen ALL of the episodes, and BOTH ARE NOT THE SAME SERIES.
Sex in NY is focus on different things, not like Unfaithful, which is only focus on infidelity to another person, to oneself, but moreover, to the friends.

St George's day

Hi !!!!!

Today's Saint George's day! A traditional day of Catalonia to show our exceptional literature! Boys give to the girls a rose, and the girls give to the boys a book, in symbol of love.

Last year I had the luck to give a book to a person, and this year too. But moreover, as most of women, every St. George's day I buy a book for myself as well (because the rose dies at the end! haha! And the book lasts as we want to and reading is a very important job...).
This year I was unsure about book to buy. I was doubting if I had to chose the book called America's seduction by Rosa Caminals, or if I would like more the book called Seven women and a lonely man by Víctor Alexandre. Finally, I chose this last one.
I don't like buying a book that is on the top of audience chart. If it is there, some year, by chance, it doesn't matter, of course. But I am a little bit fussy about reading books.
Anyway, I think that in St. George's day we must buy a Catalan book (the famous English, French or American books we can buy them at any moment!: Saint George's day is the opportunity of CATALAN literature!).

Seven women and a lonely man, by Víctor Alexandre, talks about seven stories of seven different women interconnected by a victim man for an unexpected event. We know what they feel, what they think, which are their frustations, their sexuality, their fairs, their lies, what they don't want to confess to others...
So this book is about our needs to feel beloved with ourselves and about lots of energy we devote to get it.

Have a nice day !!!!

SelectivitaT_

Hi !!!! How I needed days like these ones of Holy Week !!!! How are yours?

Every morning I'm doing some of the work we must have to do... And then I go to shopping, or to the beach, or to take a coffee with someone... To cut myself off a while!

Today I want to talk about SELECTIVITAT... Because every time it's nearer and I'm a little bit scared.

I have an exam of Catalan, Spanish, English, Art's History, Latin (obligatories) and then I chose Philosophy and Greek.
I worry about Catalan, although it's our own language, it's difficult to learn exactly everything about it. I'm also worried about English, with the listening and with the reading :(, and then I'm worried about Latin, because pupils of last year said to me the Latin's exam wasn't easy so I like Latin a lot but if it's difficult I have to practice it utmost.

I think Selectivitat is very curious or strange. We go there so nervous, we have to do the exam very concentrated, but we are surrounded by other pupils who we don't know.
It will makes me laugh, for example, when I'll enter to Greek's exam and I'll see that all the pupils are girls !!!! I'm very sure it will be like that :).

After this last month of classes, we have to prepare, day after day, all the exams we'll do in Selectivitat. When I remember it, then I think... ¿for which subject have I start? :S.
We also have to think of we must study TWO YEARS of Batxillerat. ¡Oh my God! In some of these subjects, there is a lot of matter!!
But we have to be calm to go to exam very conscious that no matter how hard we've studied a subject because all depend on two options of exams we must choose, and depend on OUR NERVES.

Selectivitat is very important in our course. It is the 40 % of our final mark so we have to study a lot for their exams. Some of pupils aren't worried about Selectivitat because they don't need a middle mark to do a degree, or on the other hand, an important part of them isn't worried about it as well because they're sure it will be easy.

But there is another part of pupils who worry about Selecivitat's exams because the mark of their exams will determine the final mark to enter in the University. Unfortunately, I'm in this last group :(.

Good luck for everyone !!!! So to speak, we have to prepare it a lot so then we'll succeed in middle mark of our exams of Selectivitat !!!!
:D

(I hope so!).

Sarah's Oral Presentation

A few days ago the Scottish girl, Sarah, who came here three years ago, came back to visit us.

She did an oral presentation in which she could explain to us something about her life and about Scotland.

She comes from a small town of Scotland and she's 25 years old. Three years ago, as I said, she came from her town to learn and improve teaching, because she was finishing her degree. Now, she had finish it and she's teaching in Murcia.

Her hobbies are football and travel.

Especially, she talked about her country: Scotland. It has a population of 5.000.000 people. It's a small country but it's an important one too. The language of there is Garlic, and its capital is Edinburgh. She said that she loves the weather we have here, because there it is only hot in May. During all the year it's cold. The typical Scottish food is the haggis, and some famous person from there is, for example, Andy Murray.

Furthermore, she had gave us some advices for our future and she talked about differences between countries we find in United Kingdom as well: England, Scotland and Ireland.

It was an interesting oral presentation.

Be perfect_

“Oh my God! This boy is perfect!” or “Look at it! She always dresses perfectly.”
These are the usual sentences of our generation. Now, the girls want to be like a model and most of boys want to be, for example, like a football player.

The publicity has inculcated these ideals to follow to feel good with ourselves. I think it’s very ridiculous.

On the one hand, I agree with people who have an operation to feel better. I support these people because I think that we have to take advantage of new technologies. If some great people like doctors offer us different ways to improve some part of our body with which we don’t feel good, we have to make the most of it.

But I wonder, why have we make sacrifices for our body? On the other hand, I don’t support people who abuse new technologies to feel better with them. I don’t understand why take a risk like it abusing the body operation by operation. We have to accept our own body, and if somebody offers an operation to improve it we have to try it whether our economic resources allow us to have it.
We don’t have to abuse of it with a little defect which doesn’t make us feel good, because there are a lot of people who need operation room at once.

There are some people who think that we mustn't have an operation because we must accept the body that we have, I agree with it, but looking at new technologies of nowadays I think we have to use them if it makes us feel better.
Furthermore, I always thought that people who have psychic problems it is caused by abuse of their body or by becoming obsessed by their defects, and it is a very serious case.

I hope publicity influence which is around us stop affecting us all.

MILAN

Milano? What does it mean to me?

Well, it means the city I feel like going there a lot of years ago. I want to visit it because there are a lot of important things to see.
It's the second city most populated of Italy, after Roma, and it has a population of 1.3 million.
About art, there is an incredible cathedral, Il Duomo di Milano. It's amazing! There is also the opera La Scala and the San Lorenzo's basilica.
About gastronomy, as you know, the Italian's food is very very nice. The typicals risotto alla milanese, the panettone and the osso buco.
About fashion, there are one of the best shops in Milano, like in Paris. Most of fashion designer are from this Italy's city.
About football, when there's the Champions League, I'm always of Milano Football Club, and my brother doesn't understand it. I like football so I try to follow the league whenever I can.

And apart from cultural things, about my personal objectives...
One of my dreams is to be a correspondent of Italy (as one journalist). I hope going there soon for two or three months and get speak Italian as I speak Catalan :).
I love the country of Italy.

London!

Hi !!!!!!!! We have came back from London !! It has been perfect, really perfect. Thanks to everyone because I had very good times there, in one of the most beautiful city I've seen: LONDON.
I've never been there so I wanted to enjoy a lot the city, and it was so. Today I feel happy about this short holiday because specially I was sociable speaking english, and long time ago I didn't it.

Lots of hours flying, airports, the hotel, nights in the hotel, English breakfasts, dinners, a lot of subway's stations, a lot of "Big Red Buses" :), the tricycle, meeting inside Alma and Miriam's bedroom to celebrate the Miriam's 18th birhday, talking, playing, calls between bedrooms, the postcard for Isabel, British Museum, National Gallery, Globe Theatre, in TATE, Tower Bridge, Millennium Bridge, Westminster, St. Paul's Cathedral, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, the famous Russell Station :), at the musical "We will rock you", Harrods, Speaker's Corner with the show of Adrià and a very nice chocolate hot :P, a lot of videos, interviews, a lot of coffees, a lot of Starbucks Coffees, in free times we went to Natural History Museum, we saw Fashion Week...

The best thing about it is that there are a lot of anecdotes in each of these moments. Four days very specials for me, four days which have surpassed the most of other trips that I've done for the moment.

I missed going to visit Notting Hill, Chinatown, Oxford Street and go to some football match... ;p so I'm sure that I'll come back there !! :D.

I can swear you that I will remember for a long time this travel. Thanks to teachers and thanks to everyone of you!

Do you often go to the library?

I've arribed at home right now from library of Figueres, where I was studying two exams and I've seen that in this place, every day, there are more people. Every time, there are more people who need go there and be concentrated. I think it's great.

Nowadays, everybody has a while to waste the time playing with the computer... Messenger, fotologs, facebooks, hotmails, news.. And it's incredible.
I think if we saw the world by a magnifying glass, we would see how many of people are using the PC at the same time. I'm sure it would be incredible...! Don't you think?
So, for these reasons, every time libraries are fuller of people, becasue all of us need concentration and we know er can finde it there.
But, I have a question (or a reflection): when I go there alone (the most of times), I have always insecurity about... "WHO WILL BE NEXT TO ME?" jaja. And it makes me a little bit nervous sometimes...

Well, that's all I wanted to say... Today I'm very chatty ;p!

I have to go to dinner,

Bye people*

Is University's system better?

Well, the period of Research Project has finished and now it's time to take relax..
Relax? NO! In this course there won't be never relax!! I'm very stressed with the exams.., week by week, and it seems to me those we'll never finish..

I feel like being in the University and follow the system of there (through the approval of "Pla Bolonya"). I d'nt mind about this new project...! Do you, classmates?
I said that because in University you start tour classes, during which there are only CLASSES (taking notes, doing activities, etc), and then, once classes have finished, it's time to concentrate withh EXAMS, so you only have to study and pass (jeje) the exams.. In this period you don't go to school! You have already done all the activities so you only have to study them!.

For me, this system is perfect, and I know that I'll value it a lot next year.

Having a good time!

Hellooooooo! Tomorrow classes of second term start but today I'm fine, what's more, I'm very happy! :)

As you can see, I saw snow these Xmas! These photos were taken yesterday in Olot, my family is from there and journalists are talking all the day about the snow in different places so we decided to go there and see it! Moreover, yesterday was 6th of January, and what's up that day? The Epiphany! ;p So we visited each house of my family's people, because my little cousins had presents there as well. I hope Three Wise Men gave to all of you a lot of presents ;p.

One of my little cousins is Laura, who is in the third photo that I've uploaded. She was shouting and smiling (that's her all over :). The first one is me, in the middle of snow :), the second one is an avenue, and the last one is my dad's car, it was full of snow !!
We were having a very good time. It was great, not much times in our places it's snow, so we have to enjoy it as soon as it's possible.

Well, ¿tomorrow? I don't want to think about it yet... lol. I'm not ready yet. I can't believe that tomorrow I'll come back to rutine, ¡oh my God!. But well, it will be a stress year, yes, but it will be a very funny year too, though this course will finish soon (except with Selectivitat), we'll go to London early on, and we'll start a new life, we'll study what we want to...
I know it will be fantastic. Good luck people!

¿Do you want one of these?

If your answer is yes, take care, you're wrong..

All of us, doing unconsciously one of these little things, are making our lives worse. I think it's one of the most important problems of the life; more dangerous than the famous Economic Crisis.
I know there are a lot of people who are addicted to these things, but we have to take care of it, because it only causes us harms in our bodies and it limits our lives. We're the only one who can change it, who can solve it.
For example, if you, every day, have three or more beers, wine drinks or another alcoholic drink, you're increasing your risk of develop Mum's cancer like smoking a packet of cigarettes daily as well.
When I go to parties I'm very surprised about how many people are smoking there, or how many people, of my age for example, are having beers (more than one!) every day.

Do you really want a beer now? Or a cigarette?

I repeat: we're the only one who can decide about our life, and who can, of course,SOLVE IT.
Take care friends ;)

Relax_

What do you do in your stressing moments?
Well, as most of you know, I'm a very nervous person jeje, and moreover, I'm an optimistic person... But like all of you, I have some moment to stop, think... and then I become a very pessimistic person... I see everything with a negative view...

What do I do in my pessimistic moments? I love going away with somebody. I'm lucky to having a great person who wants to share these moments with me, and he brings me in different places... Llançà (photo), El port de la Selva, Girona, Sant Martí d'Empúries, in Sant Pere Pescador's seaside, Palau, Roses, Cadaqués, l'Escala, ... and more.
When we're in a stressing time (specially it happens to me, though I'm in 2n of batxillerat and it's a difficult moment and he knows it), we love leaving our places and go away... to cut ourselves off from our world.
I need sitting down in a seaside, or in a restaurant which is in front of the sea, and be calm...
I'm sure I'll continue being too nervous, of course, so I'll love, once I've driving licence, take my car and go away for hours...

I have to thank him very much for it..

I show you a song which can help you to relax... (I love it).
